Booking Information

When you have decided to register your cats with us, please email us, with at least a week’s notice so we can to arrange to see you and meet your feline friends. We find a mutually agreeable time, when you’re home from work and relaxing with your cats.

If you are booking for less than seven calls there is a call out charge of £17 for this visit

At Sitting Kitty we care for cats 365 days a year, however our services are extremely sought after at certain times of the year; Christmas, New Year and school holidays in particular.

It is imperative that you book early during busy periods (priority will be given to our regular customers). We can only accept firm bookings at these times. At Christmas we can only accept a booking for a minimum of five days or £100, which would need to be paid before the booking commences.

Our Insurance has restrictions on us caring for cats in shared accommodation. If this is your situation please inform us when you make your initial enquiry so we can assess the situation.

We also have longer lead times for both booking and cancellations, you can find out more details on our peak cat sitting dates page.

During our registration visit we will need to collect a spare, previously tested set of your house keys. It is crucial that these keys work as calling out a locksmith is expensive and time consuming. It would be very helpful if all keys are on a substantial key ring. Rings supplied by locksmiths and estate agents can be flimsy and there is a risk of your keys becoming detached.

We are happy to be key holders for you and all keys are kept securely with no identifying labels. If you do require your keys back please note that we do not leave keys in your home on our last call, as this could be a security risk and also we would not be able to help should your return home be delayed.

Once you are home we would be happy to drop your keys to you when we pass on our rounds. However, if an appointment needs to be made to drop keys to you then a charge will be incurred.

You can pay straight into the Sitting Kitty account (we will advise you of our account number and sort code) or we are more than happy to accept “good old fashioned” cash. We do not accept credit card payments or payments by Paypal.

Our standard cancellation policy is 48 hours. During busy periods this becomes 14 days. You can find out more about peak booking times here.

I have used Sitting Kitty for over 13 years. I could not have continued to have my cats without them.  They’ve seen me through working abroad, nursing a cantankerous old cat and a cat with lymphoma for 6 years and through renovating a house.

Sitting Kitty truly love cats and look after them as if they were their own. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
